Spending a few extra days in St. Pete Beach?
Solutions 2018 is the place to be this January. Arrive before or after the show and check out the sites. Spend time on pristine sandy beaches, enjoy fresh seafood restaurants and the great outdoors.
Step onto the sand at St. Pete and you’ll know why it is rated among the top beaches in the world. Relax in the sand or try one of the many watersports, kayaking, paddle boarding (SUP), boating and parasailing. Jump on a skimboard, jet ski or take wind surfing lessons. With over 350 historic buildings and a museum, the old town of Pass-a-Grille will keep you occupied for an afternoon. Spend the day in local bars, restaurants and shops. The historic district is located on the southern end of St. Pete.
Join our Real Green Systems staff and event sponsors at Bardmoor Golf & Tennis Club. The annual golf outing will be held on January 7, 2018. If one round of golf isn’t quite enough, tee off one more time before leaving. St. Pete offers more than 10 golf clubs within a short drive of Tradewinds Resort.
Rent a bicycle and cruise along the beach. Bike rentals can be by the hour, day or week. Beach Cruisers can be rented from the Merry Pier in St. Pete Beach, located about 3 miles from the Tradewinds Resort in the Historic District of Pass-a-Grille.
Catch of the Day from the sand, pier or boat. Local charter fishing companies line the docks in and around the St. Pete Beach. Choose one to go offshore or cast into the surf at the beach. Fish from the Merry Pier starting at $15 plus tax. This includes rod rental, bait and pier license. You will be required to purchase a Florida fishing license when fishing elsewhere.
Shop until you drop at one of the many local stores and boutiques along the beach. Stop in for a souvenir t-shirt or St. Petes trinket. Look for local artwork, jewelry and more along Gulf Boulevard. Looking for a new surfboard to take home? You can find it at one of the local surf shops.
St. Pete Beach and the rest of the barrier islands have some of the freshest seafood on the Florida Gulf Coast. Check out our custom Google Map that highlight some near the conference. Many allow you to bring in your own catch-of-the-day and they will cook it for you.
Smoked meat and ribs just taste better at the beach. The area map is dotted with BBQ joints. Try some of the best awarding winning bbq right on the Gulf of Mexico.
Looking for local craft beers? Check out the craft beer trail that runs along the “Gulp Coast.” Three local breweries are near the resort. One is within walking distance or a short bus ride. Buses leave every 20 minutes.

Tradewinds Island Grand offers several great bars and restaurants. Have a meal or beverage right on property. Have dinner and a tropical drink on the beachfront deck.
