March 2019 Marketing Tip

Are your customers on the move?

Just Listed! Just Sold! These are great words if you sell houses. Not great when you are selling lawn care. You’ve worked too hard to build your customer list. Don’t lose customers this spring when the housing market picks up.
So your company covers several neighborhoods in a specific zip code. For example, lets say 48150. You’ve optimized your route to cover neighborhoods in this zip. You suddenly have several customers move across town. How do you market to the new homeowners? How do you keep up with the customers that move out? Should you reach out to other neighbors?

Yes! Especially for lawn care, landscaping and other service industry businesses. Realtors do it all the time with their ‘Just Listed/Sold’ mailers. They let the neighbors of these properties know which properties in their neighborhood are on the move and who the representing realtor and company are. Who hasn’t been bombarded with flyers and coupons from the neighborhood pizza restaurants – especially when you are new to a neighborhood? They’re masters at neighborhood marketing.

You can do the same with your products and services. There’s no need to recreate the wheel. Use what has either worked for you or others in the past and tweak it for your company. Postcards are a cost-efficient and effective means to marketing within neighborhoods. We have many customizable designs, or have our graphics department create something especially for your company. Either way, neighborhood and new homeowner marketing will grow your business.
