Everything you need to know when upgrading from Service Assistant® 4 to Service Assistant 5.

If you haven’t already made the switch to Service Assistant 5 (SA5), what are you waiting for?

Many Real Green customers are upgrading their old software to SA5 for a variety of reasons, including data security.

Why upgrade?

Two very important reasons to change are:

1. SA4 is no longer being updated and is no longer PCI compliant – meaning your customer’s data is in jeopardy. 

2. As of July 19, 2019, Microsoft ceased support of Windows Server 2008, and SQL server 2008 support will end January 14, 2020. Hosting data on either of these servers will expose it to dangerous security and compliance risks. 

How to upgrade

Here’s what you need to know to have a smooth upgrade. SA5 is compatible with internet browsers Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge. Before you start, there are eight SA5 Implementation Steps that you will need to take for Real Green to host your data. 

  1. System Training – this is online and can be completed at your office
  2. Email Setup
  3. Establish Go-Live Date – to start using SA5 for
    your daily workflow
  4. Create Environment – establish parameters, programs, etc. so you can start working
  5. Go Live
  6. VMware License Review
  7. Post Migration Care – assess how you’re doing and if you have any questions 
  8. Payment Processing Migration – SA5 works with Real Green Payment Processing allowing you to start processing payments immediately
